'86 harness to '89

I just recently purchased a Stealthram ad went from an '86 harness to an '89. If anyone has a schematic for the harness it would be greatly appreciated. I no longer have A/C or smog equipment. and ive gone from in cap coil to a divorced. bit off a bit more than i can chew right now, work has all my time right now . plus i think ive got an auto harness when i have a manual.
ANY help i can get would be greatly appreciated.

The 89 harness incorporates all of the non-engine plugs too, including headlights and all of that sort of crap. You can use it, but you've got to either splice it into your existing chassis harness, or remove it and put this one in as-is. If you're running an 87, then you'll also need to modify the alternator and air conditioning compressor wires because they're on the opposite side of your engine bay compared to an 89.

If I were you, I'd just keep the 86 harness. All you're going to need to do is change the distributer plug, but all 4 wire colors are the same, so it's not going to be the least bit difficult. That's the only change that you'll need to make to the 86 harness.

well my last harness, the '86 was all hacked to hell. I'll take a peek at my friends '87 Iroc and see if i can figure it out from there.

I could be wrong, but you may have to repin the underdash connector as well.

No you don't. 86-89 uses the same ECM.

He may have been talking about the chassis connector(s) (the large clear one paired with the grey square one). That one will have to be repinned, and there's an extra connector that the 86 has which is not present on an 89 harness. This is because in 89 those wires were moved to the bulkhead connector.

Ahh. That's an issue that I was able to avoid by using an 87 harness.
