So how the heck is it made?
I've been reading about 355's and I decided I want to make my 350 into a 355. I've done searches but I don't fully understand alot of things. So to make a 350 block a 355, you have to have it bored .030 over? Does that mean bigger pistons, rods, crank too? Anybody have a ballpark figure on how much it costs to have this done? Thanks.
Making your motor a 355 will not give you a noticable increase in horse power. You're looking at an engine rebuild and over $1000. Unless your motor needs rebuilt, I wouldn't do it. That's about the most expensive mod for more ponies I can think of.

So you think I should just leave it a plain jane 350? I'm still gonna have to get forged pistons, rods and crank for when I SC it someday. It has the ZZ9 cam in it, is that a decent cam for SC'ing? And isnt' there different types of pistons? Like dome and dish and others? What are they good for and any one better than the other for SC'ing.
