Hot!, Hot!, Hot! Headers

I am new to the battle with the Tune Port. I just finished the install and got it running. Set the timing at 6. Set IAC and TPS. All that good stuff. Went on a drive for about 15 miles. Jeep ran fine. On the way back it went to 250 it was night time and I had some fine glowing headers? What is up why would it run so well then head south?
I checked the timing and it is working. It is advacning the timing with the motor???? Need some help on this. I had my computer custom burned, any ideas. Thanks

If your headers were glowing, you were running extremely lean.

You could be running way way to retarded as well, check and make sure your EST wire is hooked up.

Paul or Any other help,
I called my computer guy. I have my timing at 8 deg. He said to try and set my timing up a little more. Although I already have it at 8. Surely shouldnt need it to go any higher. SO....

I had to use some gasket maker at the collectors..... Will a very small leak cause O2 reading to become distorted.

Also when I ran my fuel line I used a Fuel repair kit I bent the tube and it creased a little. would this cause poor fuel pressure? I woulnt think that it could harm it that much.

Thanks alot guys for the help!

There is a place on the back of the pass side fuel rail that you can hook up a fuel pressure gauge. That will tell you if you are getting the right FP and you could at least rule that out as an option.
