Why would you question the 48mm TB? I have seen 110 mph on the stock TB. Remember, the TB is flowing air all the time. Each intake port is only flowing air every other engine revolution.

Just read through this and had a couple questions....
Are you maxing out your MAF sensor?
Is this the stock bottom end or all new?
My HSR equipped ZZ4 w/mild ported Vette heads and a cam very similar to yours(.509/.528 222/230) is turning 13.77s @107 with a little tuning. I have a crappy GM Corvette Convertor and was getting 2.3 60s on street tires. I also nabbed 288 hp @ 5100 rpm on the dyno(my max should be higher I think...so I think I have issues too...) ON the dyno I noticed that after the convertor locked up I was getting much better power to the back tires...so I started locking my convertor very early. I gained 20 hp and 20 ft-lbs...you can check the dyno chart out here...blue is unlocked, red is locked.

Click on the dynorun902.jpg link. Geocities won't let me link to it directly.
I see that chart as a testament to crappy convertors and how much power they rob.

The bottom end is brand new. 355cid stock rods with arp bolts, stock crank, probe industries forged pistons, duramoly rings, all machine work was done.

I cant seem to mail the diacom runs to you. My e-mail account does not recognize the file so it wont let me send them to you. They are .gdf files.
BadGTA I dont think they will convert to excel files. i tried tonight and all you get is a bunch of mumbo jumbo numbers and symbols.
Any other ideas?

With your combo you should be maxing the MAF out during a 1/4 mile run I would think.
I have the same setup basically as you do, but with crappier Vette Alum. heads. I am hitting 235 gm/s during a dyno pull with my motor...
I found a great deal on a 58 mm throttle body that I am going to try to see if it opens the car up some more...it may be too big, but it was a good deal. I am in the camp that a 48 mm Throttle body isn't big enough for a modified motor...
Unfortunately I had other vealvetrain problems that I have now found so I probably won't get it back on the dyno til' Spring.

Can I ask some dumb questions? I dont know if they've already been asked but here goes...
Have you checked to see if the TB is opening all the way up when you put it to the floor? Have a buddy step down on the gas pedal (engine off please
) and see if it is opening all the way up.
Are you seeing over 4 volts from your TPS sensor? At least 4.5 maybe?
Do you have a catalytic converter? If so, is it clogged? Can you uncap at the track and see what the car runs?
Are you REALLY getting 34 degrees of timing at WOT? You mentioned 6 degrees initial timing (I think thats what you said). Is this chip giving you 28 degrees of WOT advance? Can you verify that youre actually getting this much advance?
HTH's...

My tps is at 4.92 at wot.
no cat.
according to diacome I am getting 34 deg of timing at wide open throttle.
I also know that at idle I am getting up to 21 deg of advance. It idles about 950-100rpm and I have 25-27 deg of timing at idle. according to diacom.

Nope not a typo. All the numbers are correct. The only diff is in the amount of time it took me to do them and when I got to eight is quite a bit later than the rest. Not to sure how much lifter bleed down affects these tests...
I am using new gm oem roller lifters
Headman 1 5/8 headers with 3 in flowmaster
Yes after 6 it does not pull anymore.
I am going to do some diacome runs today and I will save them.

tell you the headaches I went thru with the
standard AFR valve springs.. They will tell you
they will probably float at 55-5800 rpms.. (Mine
were floating at 6200 and of course weakened after
every float to where they were floating at 5800)
I had to finally replace all the exh valves because the tips were wreaked, and upgraded to
Crane 983 springs. (I also have the AFR rev-kit BTW)
My trip to the track tonight with my HSR netted
a 7.516 @ 90.81 1/8-mile (11.83 @ 114 1/4) so
you may want to start checking into new springs..
(You may have already damaged the seats as showing
in your leakdown #s ?)
The HSR made peak power at 6500rpms, so you'll
need to shift it at 6300-6400 if you want to
get the most from it.. Without a stout valve-
train, the HSR does not have the powerband that
will help if you can't get in the 4000-7000rpm
range..

What cam are you running? who did your programing? I just read another post of a guy who picked up almost 100 rwph with good tuning on his chip... I am just wondering if the tune in my chip is that far off >?<

cam..
I program my own ECMs.
Put an ALDL scanner on it and see what it
says...
I may of missed it if you posted what sized
injectors you're running and at what PSI..
With your leakdown anomally, I still think you're
going into valve float from my own experience.
