Another LTR vs LT1 & Stealthram question (Long)

Anyone wanna guess the ET of these two setups?

-’87 L98
-2.73s or 3.42s at the most
-Vigilante TC
-Other things like injectors, small ignition parts, SD conversion, PROM tuning, full exhaust, TB, suspension, etc, that would be the same for both setups.

WITH EITHER:

LT1 or Stealth Ram intake.
LT4 hot cam, CC305, or equivalent
Heads to match (AFR maybe? Probably something a little more affordable though)

OR:

Ported Plenum,
SLP or AS&M runners ported to match
Scoggin Dickey intake base
Vortech heads
Cam to match (LPE?)

It needs to be very streetable, a daily driver. I think I would rather have the LTR setup because it looks pretty stock and has plenty of torque (well, I guess they would both have plenty of torque) and should be very streetable and easier to tune. BUT, it’s all useless if it would be much slower than the shorter intake that would probably have better heads. I know this is a little vague. I would just like to figure out the potential of each setup so I can decide what I want to do and start setting some goals. Thanks for getting this far and actually reading the whole thing. Any comments are welcome.

Pehaps a bit of re-search is in order...key word being "SEARCH".

Plus...there are many factors that will determine your ET. You could run 12s or 13s or even 14s depending on the weather, your setup, you as a driver, etc.

You guys don't think I frickin searched? The only big thread that I could find with much info was one that I started...

Everyone seems to agree (obviously), that the vortech heads & LTR setup will not perform as well as a short intake with better heads. But nobody knows how much of a difference there will be.

The short intakes love high rpms and big cams, but I don't. That's why I'm looking into the vortech setup.

I haven't been able to find anyone with a well tuned vortech/SDPC setup and a good cam. Maybe that's all I need is opinions on the vortech setup. It's pretty easy to figure out how fast modded LT1s run.

14.624 OR 14.625? Gimme a break. That's what I think every time I see people ask "How fast is this?" But they still get replies every time...

Then you shouldn't be looking into short runner intakes at all if you don't want to rev them to make their potential. Comes with the territory.

Mike Crews is running a 383 with vortec heads, SDPC base, and a LPE 211/219 cam (i think), he's in the low 12's at around 107-108. Thats the best example I've seen yet for a vortec TPI setup.

I'd be willing to bet the short runner/better heads setup will make significantly more hp with both setups at their peak potential, but as you said, at a much higher rpm.
good luck
