New best E/T!!! 12.99 is getting closer....

Went to US 41 raceway in Morocco,IN yesterday.

Here is the fastest timeslip:

Reaction-------- .550
60ft-------------- 1.900
330ft--------------5.562
ET @ 594ft------ 8.069
1/8th ET--------- 8.635
1/8 MPH--------- 79.41
1000ft------------ 11.309
1/4 ET------------- 13.563
1/4 MPh------------ 99.81

Then backed it up with a 13.57 @ 100.29!!!

Things still to do:

-fiberglass hood and spoiler
-Accell 300+ iginition
-1.6 roller rockers
-tubular torque arm
-tubular a-arms
-aluminum driveshaft
-install SLP 1 3/4" headers with custom after-cat y-pipe
-PROM tuning (still running stock chip!)

I think 12.99 or better on STOCK UNTOUCHED heads, cam, bottom end is definitely obtainable now.

Hey Dylan, Congrats on the new best times:hail: I am going to sell the car my car, I would like to sell it w/ the rims and tires so that I do not have to buy another iroc rim and tires for it. But if I dont I will let you know. And I have a aluminum driveshaft w/ new u-joints that I was going to take off my car and sell, If youd like to buy it let me know.

Ed,

These 60ft times are on the 275/40/17 Yokohama A520's. I was hookin better than any Nitto was that day.

I'm sure with an E/T Street, It will pull 1.7 60ft's all day long. I am only leaving off idle because flasshing the converter only make the tires spin like crazy.

If you just mounted some ET streets and pulled a 1.7 60ft and got those headers installed I think you'd be pretty close (atleast on paper anyway).

That would be pretty crazy though. Stock cam, heads, bottom end, computer, and never removed the valve covers! But it would also be cool to run a 12.99 on REAL street tires...

Good luck!

Sorry i was short last night, wasn't feeling well.

But thats what i meant. you get those 60's near a 1.70 or actually into the 1.6s once you do the rest of that stuff, then you'll be living.

And even on street tires you could be doing better than 1.9. I thought i was doing something wild running 1.85s until i started paying attention to what else is out there. Of course level of actual track prep plays in too.

I still have the stock, very worn out, torque arm. I'm sure by replacing that, a 1.8 60ft on these tires is a definite.

All I need to do is:

1) Take out more weight
2) Find more power
3) Tune the hell out of it
