Yanked the A/C, wiring auxilary fan to a switch?
I recently yanked the A/C out of my '89 Formula, and was thinking of hooking the auxilary fan to a switch.
After taking out the A/C, is that fan still functional and controlled by the ECM? Will a Hypertech fan switch work? I want to be able to switch this fan on manually.
Thanks!

If your settup is the same as a camaro with daul fans, over around the battery there should be two very large relays. One of these is for each fan. In order to turn them on you will have to determine which wire is the ground which is controlled by the ecm. On my car I believe it was a green wire but I can't remember for sure. Just cut the wire run a wire from the relay to your dash mounted toggle and anothe from the switch to a good ground under the dash.
Your really Gettin serious about this 12.99 thing now
Run a wire to the Passenger compartment to ground out ( or power depending on how you like it ) the Secondary fan relay that Richie referres too.
That way you can flip it on whenever you want.
