Has anyone ever used these?

I found these on ebay, and I wondered if anyone on this board has ever tried to use them. They are awfully expensive, probably more than I paid for my 87 IROC. Would these even work with tpi? Also could it be that these are possibly the best heads for a SBC? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1871096785

Those certainly are some bad *** heads, and are probably well worth the money, but you need to know what you are getting yourself into before you buy em. To use those heads you'll need custom pistons and a custom intake. I can give your email address to a guy that I know. He is currently using those heads on an engine he is building, I forget how much power he's going to be making, but IIRC, its ~800 NA, I think, not sure though.

Edit:

Well, maybe you can disregard everything I just typed..... I read the descrip and it says you can use standard cam/pistons/intake... I guess my buddy is just a crazy foo that likes to spend cash, lol. I'll still see if I can find out some info for you though.

I am trying to dig up some more info on these. It really struck my interest when I found these, and I wonder how they would stack against a set of AFR's. It says their standard price is $5500, It almost hurts to think of dropping that much on a set of heads.

Damn, too bad those won't work with a HSR intake.. there's no way you could port an HSR out to a 1207..

Another cool thing like that is http://www.hotrocker.com/. Variable vavle lift. Kinda like V-tech. You could stuck in a HUGE cam and have the car still be able to idel fine for street.

Bigals87Z28-- These heads are for any sbc. If yu go to their home page(http://www.araoengineering.com/) they have a pic of a carbed sbc with these heads and a blower sitting on top. Here are some quotes from that page.

"We then decided to play around with the jetting and little bigger camshaft and produced just under 600 horse power. Keep in mind this was all done with our B-2 series head .
Which is what we consider our baby head due to the B-3 , C-2, C-3, Raised Runner, and HIGH Port, are 5 more levels above the B-2 series. In turn a 1,000 Horse Power naturally aspirated small block can be achieved with the right combination."

"For those of you out there who still want more!

You can add a BLOWER, TURBO, or NITROUS !

Which are all compatible with all of our 32valve head packages"
