a question about the slp cai
hey guys, i've seen pics of the slp cai, and i noticed that it has an airbox that looks like it seals with an opening to the inner fender. i have noticed that there is a cylindrical thing in the way of this, and i was wondering how the slp intake works around this...do they relocate it? and if so, where do they have you put it? the reason i'm asking this is because i wanna try to make a home depot ram-air that gets air from under the car, and the only way i can do this is blocked off by that damn thing. also, what the h*ll is it? thanks
That cylindrical thing is the charcol cannister that captures vapor from the fuel tank. It gets relocated to the drivers side frame rail slightly behind the battery and radiator. You just need to drill two holes in the rail and attach via sheet metal screws using the original brackets on the bottom of the cannister. You have to extend and reroute the wiring and hoses to complete the move.
