Anyone have a part number for KB Hyp. pistons?

I'm looking for the part number for the Kieth Black Hypereutectic pistons. I found them in JEGS, but they are the ones that boost the compression. I want to keep the stock compression.

Thats an extremely vague question. Need more info.

Bore
Stroke
Rod length
Combustion chamber cc in the head
Is the block zero decked or not
What gasket thickness you planning on
What compression do you want. There are lots of 'stock' compression numbers. Pick one. On that note, what heads, AL or cast iron.

KB does not make a dished Hypereutectic piston. A flat top is
the lowest compression piston they make.

Yes they do. They make LOTS of dished pistons.

Hey madmax, what's the part number on those? And where did
you get them? Those are what I need. I have been holding off
buying a set because I don't want flat tops.

KB193.
Got them from Summit racing. I was gonna go with .020 over but it was September IIRC, everyone was out of stock on the .020's, and they weren't making any again until MARCH! LOL! I see they do have the std and .030 in stock, .020 not in stock... no real surprise there. Who buys .020 over anyway besides weirdos like me?

They are the typical rings (5/64 5/64 3/16), 5.7 rod, 1.561 compression height.

what heads are you gonna run ? if you have 74cc heads use flattops if you have 64cc heads use the 12cc relife dished pistons.both of these combos will generate a CR of about 9.5:1 if used with the correct pistons and .005 deck height. ohh and if your not sure have the cylinder heads CC'd

I used aluminum L98 heads. ~10.4:1 compression (heads were shaved due to a mishap, didnt re-cc them. I could have ran more compression for sure with the cam I have.

l98 aluminum heads are 64cc stock give or take. with 030 cut off it would be about 10.5:1 with the dished i dont know whatcam you runnig but you better buy the good gas. and with a 030 overbore the compresion will typically jump about a 1/4 point anyways.

They cc'd at around 56-57, none were equal when I got them. They had been surfaced once before as far as I could tell. The heads are not the same as the cast iron ones, they are definitely 58cc heads not 64. I did a bunch of work to the chambers and ended up at just under 59 on them all by the time all was said and done. I think the guy said they took .006 off just to clean it up (had a gasket go south) and I just reinstalled them and never checked to see where they were at. It couldnt have been much of a change, wasnt too worried about it.

There's no hint of knock with 91 octane. It'll even run on 87, except on really hot days under high load it'll knock a little. I did alot in the engine itself to prevent knock from happening, and I have a cam bleeding off some of the pressure at lower rpm's so it all works pretty well together. I think I could have easily ran 11:1 on this setup, maybe more. Didnt want to push my luck though

thats a bit wierd i guess there the later l98 heads the earlier ones had 64cc. hmm oh well more notes. anyhow yeah with the reverse cooling and aluminums beter heat rejection you can usaully get away with more compresion. i assume youve done prom work to ? anyways sounds like a good combo.
