fuel injector o-rings
I'm swapping fuel rails in my car. Do I need to put new o-rings on the top and bottom of the injectors?
How do you get the bottom o-ring off without breaking the pintle cap?
Also, is there 2 different types of o-rings used during the model years? I went to Murrays to get a kit and they look like they fit in the '86 crossover tubes, not the injectors. The o-rings on the injectors of the fuel rail I took off were bigger. (the injecters and rail are off a '86 350, I asked Murray's for '89 305 o-rings because that is what my engine is, I'm just using the rail and reinstalling my injectors onto the new rail) The o-rings Murrays gave me don't fit well on the '86 injectors. They are very loose. I haven't seen what my injectors look like.
Thanks
Matt

Go GM# 17113544 or Delco# 217-1379. The o-rings are somewhat loose until they are installed. Carefully stretch the o ring over the pintle cap. I used Tri Flow lube on the o ring to help slide into the rail & manifold. TPI rails are all the same as far as the injector holes are concerned.
