Injector Question?

I have an '87 Z28 with a 305 TPI engine, and I have noticed a ticking noise when I have the hood open and the engine running. I am certain that it is not a lifter or valve, and I think that it might be comming from the fuel injectors. Is this possible, and if so, what exactly is it?

Thanks in advance

Injectors are electronic solenoids, they can make a ticking noise from the pintle moving up and down. Totally normal.

Let me stress that everybody's injectors make noise. And unless it's obscenely loud, nothing is wrong.
