i just found out that i have a intake manifold leak so im getting the gaskets replaced, but since they have to take off the manifold ive decided to go ahead with a cam swap. my question is what cam does everyone recommend. I did a search and i heard alot about lt1 cams but im not sure if theyd help. I also heard about a zz3 cam, but im also not sure if that'd be any better. I have a pretty much stock 91 350 tpi (has CAI, pulleys, chip, no cats). Any responses will be appreciated.

I'm running a pretty healthy cam (Comp XR276HR-12). I'm still using Tuned port FI, but my motor isn't nearly close to being stock. Do yourself a favor and call Comp Cam's help line. They will help you pick out a cam that will work with your stock valve springs and stock motor. I dont have the number off hand, but you can get it from their website.

xr276hr= comp cams part # 08-503-8

a very nice cam (but about as hot as you can go with a basically stock engine with minor mods) for a TPI but REQUIRES
chip mods
headers
and porting the plenum and base and runners to get the best results according to

if you talk to the techs

http://www.compcams.com/information/...umber=08-503-8

and you better carefully check clearances as most stock vette heads will only handle about .48- .500 lift and that cam has .510 ex lift
BTW JUST TO GIVE YOU SOME IDEA HOW HOT THAT CAM IS, HERES THE LT4 HOT CAM, THATS MUCH MILDER by about 6 degrees which is more than enough to notice and that comp cam would have a .536/.544 lift with the same 1.6 rocker ratio that the HOT CAM USES
