Whoa harsh!

Buddy - tho the last response was a little rough, he is right. A search will answer your questions and many others you didnt know you had.

But -
Any of these aftermarket intakes will destroy a stock TPI
The Superram is special - it's smog legal.
The Stealthram is cheeeaaaap as well as the LTI Intake
The Miniram is said to be extremely versatile as far as what kind of performance you are seeking.
All of these IMO have equal potential due to shorter runners & superior plenum and base design.

Getting into the installation and fitment part of this question:

The SuperRam is a pain to install, clearance problems on some cars with the wiper motor. It's like putting together a jigsaw puzzle.

The Stealth Ram is fairly easy to install, clearance with the plug wires on the distributor is nonexistant. My two plug wire boots facing the intake are smooshed up against the plenum box. Re-indexing the dist won't help, I'm going to end up with at least one plug wire boot up against that nice conductive aluminum plenum. Runner length is shorter than TPI, longer than LT1/Mini-Ram.

The Mini-Ram is easiest to install, just one low-profile hunk of aluminum. Shortest runners of the bunch, so some loss of low-end grunt but significant gain at high revs.

I'm using the superram on my vette. Its probably the best all-around intake, and its smog legal to boot. The superram is more than adequate for just about any combo and it puts that power right where you can use it. If you need something more get a stealth ram. its not smog legal but with the kind of combo you'd have that sitting on top of, you've already thrown all that other stuff out the door anyway. The HSR can support a ton of airflow and is great for revs. The HSR is a tight fit in terms of hood clearance but it does fit, and if you have an aftermarket hood you have more than enough room. Forget the miniram. Performance-wise its in the same boat but its ridiculously overpriced just like the rest of the stuff TPIS sells. $1200 vs. $500. Hmmmm .Take the $700 you saved on the intake and it put it towards the rest of your drivetrain because more than likely you'll need it.

O..K.. 1st off sorry i didnt do a search,, you could have been a bit nicer about it thou i think...

ok i have a 89 GTA.. i'm using the stock block, Eagle crank, eagle I-beam rods, SRP flatop pistons, AFR heads 210cc intake runners, cam motion cam, 2800 lock up converter, custom built 700R4..corvette servo, etc, 3.73 gear... And

as far as STREET CAR goes i mean just what it says, I'm building a car that can be driven daily if i choose, but can still run at the drag strip on weekends

Does $$ play an important role in your decision? What about smog? Not sure if you are looking for smog legal or not.

I live in TN so at this time smog isnt important,, since there isnt any testing...yet.... so i'm not worried about smog, and of coarse $$$ plays a part in everthing i want the best parts for the best price ..

OK, don't get your panties in a bunch.
I just had to ask cuz there's "street cars" that run anywhere from low 13' to low 10's. They all can be daily driven, but there's a big difference in their performance.

Personally I like the HSR. I'll be buying one shortly. I had a lot of problems w/ getting the LT1 intake to fit so I've decided against it. The SR is overpriced (hard to intall) along w/ the MR. IMHO a big piece of aluminum is not worth 1200-1500 bucks. But that's just me.

i put the stealth ram on my otherwise stock L98 and ARAP chip, it really woke the car up. i can run with stock LT1s with ease now. this thing just pulls and keeps pulling 6000rpm+

If one of them was the best for all applications, we'd all have it.

If emissions isn't a worry then definitely save cash and go w/ either the Stealthram or the LT1 intake.

Mini-Ram is expensive AND non emissions legal.
At least thats what the Superram has got going for it.

Other than that, the super is INDEED overpriced. Thats why Im attempting to find the plenum and runners for about half cost (400ish) so I dont feel stupid when I buy the 400.00 basemanifold to go with it =P

I've seen brand new Superram plenum and runners for as low as $699. Still expensive though
