LT1 Injector Swap Pics are up!

Hey Everyone,

With the Thanksgiving holiday weekend upon us, I finally decided to sit down and update my web page. As many of you know I have a web site on Cardomain.com that I show off different things I have done on my car. Back in September I swaped out my old 22/lb injectors for a set of 24lb LT1 injectors and installed an Adj. Fuel Press. Reg. The webpage tells the entire story. I did the majority of the work on a friday and surpisingly I had three people drive past me, stop, and ask "Hey, do you know anything about cars?" Hmmmmmm.... With all the fuel injection parts sitting on the ground and tools in my hands I struggled not to be sarcastic. One of them even said they did not think I could get it back together. Appearantly they have never seen my website. Oh well, what can ya do. When you get a chance, check out the web page and the entire site if you have not seen all of it.

I've never checked an LT1 injector, but from your pic it looks like the Multec injectors that are in my 89. In other words, I dont think you needed to mess with the fuel rail stands. The only critical dimensions on the injector are the diameter under the o-ring, the diameters of the o-ring, the distance between the o-rings, and the distance from the upper o-ring to the groove that the clip fits into. Too many people confuse the cone at the end of the injector as being a useful and necessary part of the length, and it isnt. I dont know if you measured the distance between the o-rings or not. If you did, I'd be curious what those dimensions are.

I do have to agree with madmax. I have those same injectors on my 89 350. Multecs for sure. Looks good though. The injectors will be fine. Like said prior, diameter is all you need to worry about.

Sorry its taken me so long to replay to you guys. Yeah, I have read more and more that you dont have to cut the fuel rail posts. I cut mine anyway just to be on the safe side. Yes, they are supposedly the same injectors as those found in 90-92 Speed Density system TPI's but I can not confirm this 100%.

Thanks for the compliments on my page GTA. The suspension rebuild and upgrade is kinda the crowning achievment of my car so far. If you have any questions about it just let me know.
