What he said. Those accel cap and rotors, seemingly like the rest of their line of "performance" ignition products, are crap. When i first got my GTA, I did a tuneup and put an accel cap and rotor on there. Not too far down the line my car started running like **** so i was checking things out and i pulled the cap off and everything under the cap was covered in fine plastic dust. It turns out that the top of the rotor was rubbing against the cap, obviously the manufacturing dimensions weren't correct (and it wasn't installation error). I put a borg-warner cap and rotor on there and haven't had a problem since. And BTW, you don't need to go through jegs for most of that stuff anyway. your local parts house should carry them.

This is one area i can kinda agree wabout accel. Unlike a lot of people, i have never had a problem with accel wires or the large cap HEI stuff, and i've used a lot of them. But the small cap and rotor set for the late cars has done what he's talking about to me.
The next cap / rotor i buy will be whatever i can find with brass terminals. Thats all that really matters. The cheap metal ones corrode and get nasty easily.
