Heads, Cam, Intake, Computer Questions
I have a 91 350 TPI.
Questions I have are what would be a good set of heads for my car, I've searched and searched and can't really find a good answer. With Heads, I might as well put in a cam also, so what would be a good one? Also, what is the difference if I port the heads myself over buying new heads and then maybe porting then. If I put heads and a cam in, will I need to have a custom burned PROM made? How much modification can I do before I need to have a custom burned PROM.

Would these heads be usable if I decide to put a supercharger on in a few years or so?
Current engine has 119K, but runs strong and has 175psi when I did the compression check.
If I try to port my intake, I read that somebody ported too much, said he ran a cylinder too lean, and burned up the engine, is that possible?

Thanks for the help. I've tried to search for these answer, and I have come up short.

It's hard to believe you can't find any info on
a good set of SBC 350 heads? What are your price
ranges?

SBC 350. What is your planned use?

Cost, time, performance, etc.. Have you ported
heads before? It is a major skill..

With a '91 TPI (speed density), you won't be able
to do much to the motor without getting a custom
prom..

Usable, or optimum? You don't even mention a head, so it's hard to say.. You can run a SC
on stock heads, but it wont' be the best combo..

Could of been me?? Wasn't over porting, it was
over reving on weak valve springs and the valve
seats got messed up..
