intake bolts
is it just me or is it that the intake bolts suck, i broke my torx bit off in the bolt, how tight are those things? now I have to figure how to get the bolt out. Im not having any luck.
does gm still sell those torx bolts or is it better just to use normal bolts.

I saw a company listed on eBay selling bolts for SBC motors. It was http://www.boltlocker.com I'm waiting on a response from them now about the intake bolts.

One of the reasons GM used the torqs bolts is that they have a very low profile head for clearance (they also used them to tick everyone off)

They are pricy through GM...about 3.50 each for the longer ones.
Seems your problem isn't the bolt, but maybe a low-quality Torx bit. I had issues with breakage of bits and sprung for the 60 bucks for a good set, I use the "Asian-bit's" for trim and interior stuff.

you can use the hex head bolts. but you will need to lift the fuel rail up to get the runners off/on. my uncle used them on his 91 TPI motor into a 66 chevelle.
