Camshaft lobes???

Doe anyone know what the size of the camshaft lobes are that cam ein the L98?? I know what the stock lift is at the valves, but I am looking for what the actual size of the lobes are themselves. Are they .325" or what????
Thanks

No, bigger. The base circle is around 1.1" IIRC. I could measure it if you really need to know. Its around 1.4" at max lift.

Thanks for the info, but what I'm looking for is the lift off the camshaft. Not the diameter of the lobe. You see I've come across an article in High Performance Pontiac where they explain how you can figure out your valve lift. By taking the lobe lift, not diameter, and multiplying it by your 1.5 or 1.6 rr's you can figure out your valve lift. For example, a lobe lift of .325" multiplied by a rocker ratio of 1.5:1 equals .488" lift at the valve or .520" lift with the 1.60:1 rocker ratio.

I'm not planning on a full valvetrain swap because I have a 383 stroker in the making. So for now I just want to squeze a few more ponies out of the L98 350, plus I can use 1.6's in the 383. Anybody else know what it is, or what I'm trying to expalin even??

you take your lift with 1.5 rockers at the valves and divide by 1.5... then you have lift at the lifters and by multiplying by 1.6 you'll get the lift with 1.6 rockers

305 5spd / 350 AT 10066049* .415 .430 207 213 117.0 (116/-118)

with 1.6 rockers you would get .44266/.45866

Are 1.5's stock in L98's roots?

Yes, 1.5's are stock rocker arm ratios. At least thats what GM claims them to be.
