-3.73's,

-Nitrous,

-stip the interrior.

The SLP runners are a good budget start also.

Definitely borrow some DR's and see if that helps.

Next Mods - Ported plenum,Slp Runners, Spohn Lca & Lca relocation brackets, 180* Thermostat, 200* fan switch, AFPR, Msd super hei kit, edelbrock intake manifold, Nitto 555r drag radials
-Best 1/4 mile time 14.3
These are great basic mods for your car.

Just curious, what was ur 60' ?

I would think youd be getting high 13s already with your mods. Id say you need a converter, shift kit and cooler and some 1.8 60fts and youre there. What track do you run at Etown or Atco??

The MPH seems a little low... I'd get that car on a dyno and see what is happening. It seems to me with the mods you have - you should be running 99-100 MPH in the 1/4, not 92-93.

The 'next mods' list will get you in to the 13s once added. You could probably benefit from a chip too.

Is the car tuned up? New plugs, good wires, cap, rotor? Plenum and TB clean? Might want to run some GM Top engine cleaner or similar. All that will help. Make sure your tire pressures are equal and you have a good alignment. I've picked up speed from both of those alone.
I wouldnt bother porting the plenum besides cutting down the EGR walls. What you really need to do is port the base. That will make the biggest difference.

Drag radials will help a lot.
You really should be running faster than you are with what you have done, might look at burning your own chip as that will help.
I would port the plenum if I were you, I did my plenum and it help me get into the 13’s (see sig)

If you're next mods listing doesn't get you well into the 13's somthings seriously wrong. What is your rear gear ratio??

With those mods I would think you would be closer to the 13s. Check out my sig. I've been told I have a "freak" L98, but I don't really think so. I also have an intake manifold leak and my tranny has about had it after 127k.

Some gears, a stall, and tires would put you easily into the 13s though.

3.23s are good enough to get you in to the 13s. I did it with my old 2.77s:

Going from 3.23's to 3.42's probably won't be worth more than a tenth and a half. Maybe less.

BUT

A tenth is a tenth. So I'll soon be installing a 3.42 Ten bolt 4th gen rear in place of my 3.27 Nine bolt. I like the look of the 95 TA wheels and already have Vette Wheels & Brakes adaptors for the front to correct the offset difference. If I didn't already have the parts, I'd stick with the 3.27's.
It seems the jury is still out on 3.73's for a stock/near stock TPI motor. Some say you'll be faster, some say they'll slow you down. It's all in the RPM your engine likes to run at.

Going from a 3.23 to a 3.42 is a wate of money. Go 3.73 or higher.

I think your mph is ridiculously low. Something is choking you on the top end. I'd start looking for problems with the car before you throw any money into mods.

Some suggestions:

Clogged cat or muffler.
Condition of your ignition system (plugs, wires, coil, distributor EVERYTHING).
Advance being pulled by knock sensor at top end (excessive carbon deposits, timing advanced too far at idle).

If I think of more I'll post

I recently replace my cats cause they were clogged so its not that, my wires are only a few months old plugs were changed after the wires could probally use new ones but that 1/4 time was from september, and i am going to order a msd cap and rotor today or tomorrow. i've only put like 8,000 miles on the car and i have had it a little over a year

Mile per hour is low!

I ran the same time but with a much higher mile per hour, check my sig. Try gears, and beef up the tranny, shift kit and what not. They should get you there for sure.

Are you 100% sure that you were staying on the throttle all the way through the timing/mph lights?? I have seen this happen many times.

Alot of bracket racers time slips look like yours since they often lift right before the end. Result : E.T. close to optimum & MPH alot slower.

Try staying in it and extra ways after the lights one time. Most tracks have plenty of room for cars running no faster than ours and with our cars outstanding braking systems, it shouldn't be any problem.

Now theres a joke!

11" Rotors with Single Pot Calipers are outstanding... For a ATV.

My stock 4 wheel disk system - Std. single piston fronts, and PBR rear - seems to work wonderfully. I can STAB the brake pedal at anywhere from 60 to 80 and the car just stops. No skidding, no lockup, no having to pump the pedal. Now whether it'll do it over & over back to back I seriously doubt it. But I doubt that anyone gets to make alot of passes at the dragstrip without enough time between them for the brakes to cool. Plus who just stabs the whoa pedal at the big end??
I guess the just aren't enough twisty roads or congested traffic around here for me to appreciate the 1LE, Baer, Brembo, etc, upgrades for our cars.
But then again, I still have four wheel drums on my 1961 Bel Air that does mid to high 6's on a short eigth mile track. (Not trying to brag. I have had it off the track due to lack of funds for over 3 years, and I know there are alot of people with faster cars. I've even lost to a few of them.)

My car has ran a best pass of 14.49@94.55, and I have alot of mods that i thought would have gotten me better than that. I have K&N's, removed the flapps from the lower air box, ported plenum, AFPR at 50psi @ WOT, Edelbrock TES, no converter, FLowmaster cat back, SFC's, eiback sportline spring, poly buchings, a shift kit and a vette servo in the trans. I was especting better from my car but i dont know why i didnt get into the 14.2's i have ran a 14.6@97.03mph with a cheap *** CAI ran to the turn signal hole. My best 60 foots are in the 2.0's but latly its been in the 2.1's. You guys have any ideas.

I guess my car just sux! I dont know. It has 100,000 on it and its probibly just worn out. Im in the process of stocking up the parts for a 383 so hopefully I might see some low 13's high 12's next summer. Im gettin good MPH but I really need to get more top end out of it. I have raced countless Mustangs and they all reel me in at the top end of the track like they normally do to most stock TPI cars, but no worries, I just have to do more mods and keep going.
