Porting TPI--difficulty??
Hey people-- I was thinking of porting my TPI myself before I put it on my future *built* 350
Is it worth the time and effort to port the TPI? Will I see noticeable hp/tq gains with it? Will the 305 TPI flow enough air to power the new high performance
350? Is the 305 TPI the same one that comes with the 350s? i'm a rookie so bare with me

ok the tpi is the same ont he 305 as the 350...there no difference expect the injectors...the 305's are 19# and the 350's are 22#....right inside the throttle body opening are two little walls that help "circulate" the EGR gasses..grind those down to the floor of the plenum and youll notice a slight difference in power and a little more throttle response....theres not much material to port out on the stock base so you cant really get into that...you can siamese the port openings and the effextivly brings the peak HP number up a few hundred rpms....
id say youll see a good 10-15 peak horse but a few more then that at higher rpms

Worth it if you dont mind the work of the actual porting.
Not worth it if you can afford an aftermarket base/runners - as those will outflow a fully ported stock unit.

the knock sensor is also different as is the 5.7 PROM.the car will run with the 5.0 PROM but it will run better with the 5.7 PROM.
