Aluminum short block?
I am looking for an aluminum Gen I short block, I want to reduce weight and still have great power. The car will be a daily driver, too. Two questions:
1) Do you think that there would be to much heat from an aluminum block? Would it disipate in the winter to much to get it warmed up correctly.
2) Do you know where to find a block like this?

Every once in a while. I'm not really to worried about that right at this time, though when I start building it will start to hurt. These cars need to go on a diet in the first place, might as well start with the front a get as close to a 50/50 ratio.

Dart & GMPP both offer AL blocks. Bend over & bring your own lube cause it's gonna hurt.
