Help me with the comp 305 cam.

Im thinking of using this cam with a stealth ram, headers, and ported 113 heads in my vette.

Now.

Could you tellme exact what I need for springs, retainers etc, from comp cams to go with this cam, part numbers would be fine.
I from Sweden and not verry good at english, so if you could help with this, it would be real nice.
ANd must I cut new spring seat to make them fit?

Thanks

The Comp Cams catalog specifies springs and hardware for each cam, in the case of the 305 it's found at:

http://www.compcams.com/catalog/086_087.html

They recommend part# 983, which is 1.260" O.D. Very tight fit on stock valvespring cuts, and it doesn't leave much room for growth...max lift is 0.500" and the 305 cam lifts 0.510" with 1.5:1 rockers.

Talking with Thunder Racing, I opted for part# 987 springs for my HOT cam. Bigger diameter so no chance they'll fit on stock seats, but extra lift budget for growth and plenty of seat pressure at 0.525" lift without jacking up static seat pressure as much as the smaller springs needed.
