Will these aftermarket LT1 elbows work on TPI???
I was wondering, have any of you seen these new LT1 air inlet elbows that vortech has, and now I just got my summit and see that trick flow makes one now too? Would they work on our TPI? Or is there something I'm missing somewhere... here's what they look like:

I'm working on my custom air intake and I think it'd be alot better using one of these then just a mandrel bent 90* bend...
Any comments???

Yup Yup. They work well and look good too! I got mine cheap from off of a car we had at the shop. He bought an ATI supercharger so he had no use for it anymore. I love it!

Thats what i was wondering too, it seems like there is something there to plug from the pictures. Vortech and now Trick Flow carries them in Summit. I was considering getting a newer 1LE elbow. Anyone have any problems with that? And just clamp on some 3" exhaust pipe and the MAF, then a cone filter. Anyone?

They've got a hole in them for the IAT sensor. I plugged mine shut. Not noticeable. For some reason, I've seen some that don't have the holes in them. If you called Vortech and told them that you have one of their superchargers and you need another elbow, they'll send you one cheaper than you can but that one from summit. And I think it's the ones that are for the supercharger kits that don't have the IAT hole.

Thanks for that info man. I just might try that. Call them up and say i bought a used unit or something and it didn't come with an elbow, see what they say. Later

How did you plug the hole? What did you use to plug it? 86IROCNJ: Can you let me know if they do it, how much it costs, etc? Thanks.

Will not fit for a firebird. First hand experience unless you get a like 7 inch long piece of turbo tubeing. I've seen it on some guys superram setup and i tried on mine and it was not feasible
