People with stock pistons and AFR...couple questions.

Which AFR heads did you get. I am trying to decide between the AFR 190 heads with 76cc or the 68cc. I was trying to figure out what the changes were between the stock compression of 9.1:1 and what ever the outcome would be now.

TIA

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe every 4.19 cc reduction in combustion chamber volume is worth half a point in compression. That is, if you have 9.1:1 compression now, and your new heads had 4.19 cc less than your old heads, your new compression would be 9.6:1.

One other thing, if you're running TPI, the 190cc heads are going to be way too much. I'd opt for a 180 (AFR) or even a 170 (from Edelbrock). A TPI system will choke at the RPM's a 190cc head starts to shine. It'll be mismatched combination.

AFR190's with the 68cc chambers or as small as you can get them.
