Looking good and keeping ya busy eh?

Btw,I see your running braided fuel lines....do you have a problem with some gas fumes from them?
What brand hose did you use?

The reason I ask is because on my 86 Vette, the stock fuel lines had serious rust all through the back of the car and tank and since no one made a replacement line, and it wouldve been a pain to get new ones made or bent properly and fit,so I used Aeroquip braided lines and they work great but I can always smell fumes from them, especially if I get real close. The smell is even and the same anywhere on the line, wether in front under the car or towards the back. Its not a strong odor but noticeable.
Ive gotten mixed answers as to how normal that was.Doesnt leak and has been fine for 1 1/2 years.

You call that cluttered? :P You should see my garage at home. I've only got three tires on it, though... It appears to be clean, but the shelves above the bench are so dense that you've got to remove 10 lbs of cans, tools, and misc. crap to get at what you need. You've definitely got the random bolts and sockets laying around though, that's necessary to claim "cluttered."

You're running a siamesed intake, but stock runners?

I'll have to take a picture of my garage tomorrow when there is more light.

I've got the size of that storage place, plus more filled with TPI Stuff. Probably have 9+ plenums, fuel rails, lots of lower intakes... I'm like a small personal GM warehouse.

Luckily the other parts of the garage are taken up with other stuff such as the compressor, blasted, oven and weird crap that takes up room, otherwise I would have even more stuff there.

Bort, progress looks good.

Ever get that bracket?

Mr, I like your VC's. (Simply stock Is beautiful sometimes, isnt it ?)

These el Cheapo JC whitney Stamped Steel Chrome knock-offs I ended up with have gotta Go... I don't even know why I have them - I think someone left them here once upon a time.

Today actually was the best day so far. Got the tranny in (I had forgotten how heavy the damn things are, Sitting in here on the 'net has made me soft) As well as a few other mechanical things.

Then I set about Getting the MSD all wired in and Giving it a few test cranks.

Got some solid Pops through the open shorty headers as a reward and confirmation that I have Spark and Fuel.

Tomarrow Ypipe - Cooling system - And Im Tuning(I hope).

Would be on the Road, Except Stranoparts hasnt Deliverd my Koni's yet(okay I only orderd them on friday)... I have no front suspension on the car. lol

Wich Bracket was that Ion's ? I ended up Making My own MAP and Coil brackets, and the Throttle Cable one is in the Mail.

Still Waiting on Throttle Cable and Kickdown - I sent out a MO but no word back as of yet

Yes Im Running a Siamesed Stock base with Stock Runners. Why ? Cause Im not Spending any Money On LTR knowing im going SR when The real Motor gets built. This is just a Holdover. Siamesing the base is free, And I imagine will Wake it up quite a bit On the big end... Definately alot of room to allow for Additional Draw.

As far as the Braided lines, The garage smells like alot of interesting things as of late, So i couldnt tell you. I went with XRP for mine Because I have a connection - Its pretty High Quality stuff and the ones I got are designed for Fuel. I don't think they will give off any oder.

yes they are. i had them powder coated black also. i made more head way to day also. had an extra 4 hours this morning to work on the motor. put the pushrods, rockers, valve covers, distributor, intake, runners and plenum on. also put the oil and antifreeze in. just picked up the headers from being recoated. so, al that's left is the headers, plugs, wires, alternator and power steering pump. if all goes slow tomorrow, it'll be ready to fire again.

Cool - I just fired mine Up.

It ran for about 2 seconds then I Killed it.

Then I pulled the dist again cause it wasnt fully seated and lost my damn timing mark, So I am in the process of doing that all over again

Yeah - But your about 78" Ahead of me.

haha

Today I tied up most the loose ends, And wasted alot of time Waiting on the battery. I had accidentally unplugged the tricklecharger last night as I closed things up, So it was pretty cooked after playing around a bit this morning.

I probrably took the Dist out 40 times trying to get the Timing on, I wasnt paying close enough attention.

Eventually my friend showed up with a Jumpstarter and we Got it fired. Ran for about 5 minutes on a stock Aujp Bin.

idles fine, at least as fine as you can expect 218/224 on a 110 LSA to idle in a 305.

It already idles as good as it ever Did with the Carb, I can't wait till tomarrow and I cna get it into closed loop and get to work on the PROM.

...maybe I am just having a bad day but MdFormula350 must have a personality complex. How the fvck is his last reply supposed to help. The schmuck runs through every thread that he can post on and gives some fairy assed answer like "looking good" or "thats great". Maybe I missed something along the way but how does the reply aid in any way other than him seeing his name stamped all over shvt???? If somebody dares to come on the board and ask what cam is best for a ltr 350l-98 tpi, most people come unglued and tell the guy to do a search and quit wasting peoples time. But this little fairy skips along through the topics just a post-whoring like there is no tomorrow. WTF????
