Coolent everywhere

I was just wondering if this can/is going to be a problem. Aside from a few odds and ends , today I finished up putting on an accel TPI base for the 2nd time, 1st time it leaked oil out the back side. This time though, I forgot to drain the coolent before I removed the thermostat housing, needless to say it made a little bit of a mess.

What I want to know is if some coolent got down into the ports (runners were off) what this could do to my engine. Now , if any coolent got in it wasent alot, I felt the inside of the ports and they did not appear to be wet, but I stil want to be carefull.

I will be changing the oil and draining the coolent before I run the car, but is this enough? Do I need to try and do somehting about this coolent in the ports?

Any help would be great cause I wanna get the car fired up tommarow.

I don't see a problem unless is was quite a bit. The fact that it will burn off when hot enough. It might have a little trouble when the plug is firing for the first couple times, it will clear up.

Check with someone else just in case I am wrong.

if you are really concerned . Change your oil , remove all plugs , disable your coil, then crank the car a few times . This will shot any coolant out the spark plug holes .

Kinda late for that now, isn't it?

I'd use a Shop Vac and try to pull the coolant back out of each port, then I'd pull the spark plugs and spin the engine over to eject any that got down into the cylinders. Then I'd change the oil before starting it. Then after reinstalling the plugs and wires I'd spin 'er up.

Wait a min...I wouldn't do any of that...I'd have drained the coolant first...
