can this work with a TPI unit ?????
Hay guys .......quick question .
I have a shot at this old school 400 ........ can I just put this under my TPI setup ?? also ....sure I would need a roller cam for this to run but ....I am sure there is a bit more to it .
It's sooooo cheap .......even if it blows up it would be alright
how would I make this work with alll the sensors and stuff .........does an old 400 even have a knock sensor
( kidding )
any help would be greatly appreciated

nope...tpi will not be a bolt on mod for a pontiac 400. The GM 400 is a small-block compatible block....so all tpi and equivilant will bolt on. Your best luck with that pontiac 400 is to buy it and then try selling it for twice what you paid. Many many many people would kill for a Pontiac 400 in decent shape.

chebby 400 is a small block. Back in their day it was a tough motor. My father had one in his '74 chevy wagon..4 bolt main..qudrajet 4 barrel dual exhaust..it was a bad motha. Only thing about the chebby 400's were....steam passages for cylinder head cooling..I believe low revs..and the motor is externaly balanced. The 400 was and still is a good motor.
