question for ppl with lt1 intake

what are the dimensions on that spacer that goes under the distributor? i think it was 1/4" on the thick side and went down at 5° but i'm not sure on the inside/outside diameters. i'd check but my car's two hours away and john's site seems to be down.

You want the 1/4" in the middle, not the thick side. the thick side should be larger to allow for that but I can't give you an exact figure unless you tell me the outside diameter.

The inside diameter will be 1 3/8" to allow for the distributor to clear with some adjustment (just like factory).

Outside diameter depends on how you fasten the spacer to the intake. I use two 8-32 screws countersunk so the outside diameter must be wide enough to allow for that.

I do sell spacers fully machined for $20 each now.

john i'm going to use an OD of 1 7/8". on your site it says that the high side is 1/4" thick but in your post you say the middle should be 1/4", could you clarify for me? thanks.

1/4" on the thick side could work, depends on the overall diameter of the shim. If you go to large a diameter with 1/4" on the thick side the angle will make the thin side paper thin.

You want an average so 1/4" in the middle will work fine with ANY diameter shim.
