I need to know the GM part number for the stock harmonic dampener on a 1989 IROC L98 engine. I'm building a 4-bolt main one piece seal (G30 van) motor for my car and I want to retain my single serpentine belt setup.

Also if anyone is using an aftermarket (neutral balance) balancer on a motor like mine and had proper belt alignment I would like that part number also.

I got one it's a PIONEER INC it's part number DA-3071 I got the same car you do. 89 L98 But it sounds like your building a bad boy motor you might want to look into one of those fluid balancers.

 

Hey Dacuma. Thanks for the part number. This motor will be mild as I'm short on cash right now. So this balancer fits just like the stock one? Did you have your engine balanced too?

Well I got it for my 89 L98, my buddy and me were going to do a rebuild but never got around to doing it(unfinished project). But this is suppose to be a stock replacement. I got it from a place called Internal Engines, they basically just deal with all the internal parts of the motor. Their techs are pretty knowledgeable, so I'm sure they gave me the right part.
