Just a few questions

Alrite. I just bought a 90 firebird GTA with the l98. The car had been sitting awhile but hes getting it checked out before i get it. I test drove it before the tune up and it kind of had a bucking at first and not near as fast as i thought it should be. Im hoping it will all be fixed when he gets it checked up at his mechanic, but what areas should i be looking at in case it still is not running perfectly. I would just like to know the problem areas to look for on a 98000 mile l98 thats been sitting a while. Thank you for any help you can give.

Also when i get the car i will have about 3k to put into it. The first thing im doing is putting a t56 in it. I know yall would say stay with auto but i cant, have to have manual. So what are the first mods i should do with about 2k. Thanks again for any help.

The first "mod" is a complete performance tune up.

- Spark Plugs
- GOOD QUALITY spark plug wires
- Dist cap and rotor
- PCV Valve
- Clean the Throttle Body and IAC

MAKE SURE the car is running nice and strong BEFORE you start modding it, if not, you'll be ALOT more disappointed when you sink some hard earned $$$ in it to go faster, and it runs like crap.

If there is a weak link on the STOCK engine, when you start trying to make more power, it just makes that weak link show up even more.
