This is for MAF cars only.
I just installed the SuperRam base, plenum and runners and the TPIS 58mm TB on my 89 Iroc.
Since the TB is much 'thicker' than the stock one I can no longer use the accordian looking rubber piece that fits between the MAF and the throttle body. I don't know if the SuperRam sticks out furthur forward than the stock plenum. If so that may be adding to the problem but I only have about 3" of space between the two and don't want to cut the stock rubber piece. What did you guys use to seal that space? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

I sandwiched the stock piece. The only way to do it is to bring the air filter lid together w/ the MAF at an angle. Start with both the MAF and lid slanted upwards and towards each other like this: / \ Then bring them down together while sliding the MAF into the lid. The accordian piece will be smashed together VERY tight as you secure the lid to the filter housing.

If you absolutely cannot make the stock piece work, the LS1 guys use some type of intertube type stuff. My Stealth intake came with it, but I do not remember the proper name for it.

If you can't get it to work, try big rig intercooler couplings. You can get them at most big truck service centers.

http://www.bakerprecision.com/ sells the turbo/super charger type reinforced silicone tubing by the foot as well as specialty adapters too. I used a 4" to 3.5" adapter on my TB to go to my cold air pipe, then got one foot of the 3" hose to connect the tubes. Of course mine's not a Camaro like yours, but you should be able to find what you need there.

I don't have a bigger t-body, but what works best for me is assemble the rubber accordian tube, MAF, and intake Y first. Then slide the rubber tube over the t-body lip and seat it fully, tighten it down, then compress the tube by pushing on the Y and set it down into place and lock it. Works fine for me.

has anyone made a bigger MAF for our cars?? i see ls1s and ricers with like 85mm mafs..
