HSR and E-TEC Heads......

I am ready to spruce up my 91Z and want opinions on combos. I was thinking about a HSR with E-TEC heads, and LT-4 hot cam kit. I will get the block worked over totally and install .30 over pistons. I was thinking about 500.00 for the HSR, 1000.00 for the heads, 499.00 for the cam kit, 400.00 for the rebuild kit, and 600.00 for the block work. I think that it would be a fairly stout combo.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of combo? Anyone have a desktop dyno and could some numbers. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Paul

In a different thread someone was saying the HSR won't cover the raised intake ports on the E-tec/Vortec/Fastburn heads... I'd personally look into the Trickflow 23 degree heads, same price or cheaper...

The E-tec heads are the same thing as the vortec heads. so what ever matches the vortecs will only match up with the E-tecs.

Well there goes that. Any idea on what heads other than AFR to run on that combo. Don't the Trick Flow's require special push rods?

Thanks

I am going to be running some Pro Topline 200cc iron lightning heads with the Holley stealth ram. They seem to be great heads, I will know for sure after spring break.
