Anyone here brought therecar to Ed Wright to have him make a chip for it using his dyno? What did do for the car and how much time and money went into the final chip? I have no time whatso ever to learn how t burn my own chips. Kids are a full time job

ooooh
i hear he knows his stuff!!!!
persaonally, alot of people will tell ya to burn your own...... but i was one that just couldn't afford it or a custom chip and went carb......
personally, if i were you i would download a copy of tunercat from their site and get the appropriate bins and def file for you vehicle and look at all the table in there, and if ya still feel uncomfortable, get ed to burn ya one that way you don't waste your money on a burner......

That's actually not bad advice. It doesn't cost anything to evaluate TunerCat for 30 days, and most of what you do when you're programming is done in a tuning program like that. The actual burning part is easy and could be learned in the time it took you to write that post. You obviously have some computer time available between rugrat sessions.

Well, thats the thing. I dont want t spend the money on all the prom burning stuff if I am not gonna have time to learn it. I work 65 hours a week and have a 2 year old so my time is pretty much gone.
Pertaining to your original question though, JMatlock88 just recently put his car through Ed's wringer, so he should be chiming in eventually. [next actually; $20 say it's the very next post]
I plan to later even though I do my own chips now. Nothing beats actual dyno tuning by an experienced professional.

Right on queue!
I was in the same boat with my car... I wanted a correctly running setup realizing it's full potential instantly. I had no time available to devote to tuning. My car gained approximately 150RWHP that day. Needless to say, it was running terribly on the stock chip. Ed Wright worked on it from 8:45 - 2pm that day. He does about 1 dyno-tuned car per week. You will be happy with the results. The cost was an even $500. Unfortunately, no matter how hard you try, you'll never be able to develop the perfect chip without a dyno. Some folks are starting to get very good, but it takes years. I admire their patience and intellect! Please let me know if you have any questions. I would be glad to send you some video of the tuning process as well.
