The center bolts in the heads would be at a different angle to match up with your intake base. I have 86 vette heads but i am also using a TPI off a 85 camaro. Someone correct me if i am wrong but is it 87 and newer that had the angled center bolt heads. You can either cut a notch in you intake or have the heads modified at your local machine shop to match the bolts holes up to each other. HTH

All the Vette L98 heads use the old (pre-87) style intake and they don't have EGR provisions.

What does the stock Vette run for compression with these heads. Curious as to what my compression will get boosted up to going from a 64cc's to 58cc's. Also what about headers, can i still use and sorta Fbody Headers. as for EGR who needs it the SR doesnt have it anyways, plus i don't need to worry about emmisions in Winnipeg.

Do a search on this forum for L98 heads or Corvette heads or something. This topic has been beaten to death.

One difference is the .052" thick head gasket GM used with those heads. Does drop the CR a bit. Other then that they are aluminum so a higher CR is recommended (over iron heads).
