ok well the subject line says it all...is the engine wiring harness from a 86 Iroc TPI car the same as the engine wiring harness from a 88 TPI car??....just making sure...thanks -paul

 

Nope. The 86 harness is set up for v-belt and the 88 is set up for a serpentine belt. I'm not quite sure if 88 harnesses have the alternator, wiper/washer, starter, and bulkhead connector included with the main engine harness. I know 89s do, and 86/87s don't.

But the 86 harness doesn't have any of that in it.

There may also be some minor differences in the I/P connector.

Nothing a little bit of modification wouldn't fix.
