If I were you, I would spend a little more time and effort Opening up the Passage Vertically between the two Runners in the base.

Remember, the less restriction pulling charge from one runner to the other the better it will work.

Like So :



I actually went back and cut mine even further. Be careful however as I went through in two places, once on the bottom and once on the top. Had to get the bottom one Tig welded while the Top I just JBwelded

I decided against extremety in the base and am focusing on the runners. I'm hoping the base will just keep airflow smooth. My cam is a strong midrange cam and I expect the shortened but not too short runners to be a good match.

EDIT: I may open it some, but I really don't want to run the risk of going through. I have *no* extra money to be fixing mistakes.
