head center bolt question with HSR install ASAP!!

i know the topics of the HSR have been beaten to death but i REALLY need this info fast and i wouldn't be asking it if i wasn't so desperate. ok. well as of right now a new 355 is being put into my 92 z28 and i just got a call from the guy who's putting it in saying the the intake isn't bolting to the heads because of the angle of the center bolts of the heads isn't the same on the intake. well i did a little research and found out this isn't that big of a problem, the bolt holes of the intake just have to be drilled out to fit the heads. but then what about the spacing between the heads and intake. i read that one guy used angled spacers to adjust for the spacing. so i ask where can i get these "angled spacers"? at my local hardware store? or do i have to order it. Please direct me into the right direction i need to tell the guy what to do by tomorrow. thank you all i greatly appreciate it.

All you need to do is elongate the center holes with a die grinder or even a dremel. Just play around with it until you get the holes to line up so that the bolts thread into the holes easily by hand. There should be no use of "spacers". Good luck.

IIRC, the HSR is drilled for both style heads now. The first HSR's where only for pre 86 heads but the newer ones shouldnt be any problem

yeah but i bought the stealth ram before they came out with the one that'll fit both style heads, so i don't need a spacer, just drill the holes to fit the heads? thanks

You do need spacers for the 4 center bolts they dont sit flush with the intake. They are called square beveled washers http://www.mcmaster.com/ sells them also holley has a PN#90748 for them.
