Overheating
Ok, my car was overheating before, when it was just sitting there, at first i thought the fan wasnt working, but i just verified that it infact does work, then i thought ok maybe a bad thermostat, so i took the stat out and didnt put one back in to see how that did, it still seems to keep really hot, its a few line above 220, and i really dont think it should be that close, so i'm thinking i prolly have a bad radiator. any imput ?

Stock, If I recall correctly, the low speed fan turns on @220, and the high speed turns on it 230.
I just wired a manual fan switch, so I can turn them on whenever I want.

ok but my car when it idles gets pretty hot, enough to where my coolant in the radiator starts going nuts, i'm guessing part of that is because i dont have a thermo in there, so maybe is i put a 160stat in i'll be a runnin cooler rather then no stat correct ?

OK, first yes its not good for no T-stat because the water has no time to slow down in the rad. Next make sure that your fan motors are turning the fans with the proper load, just casue they are turning doesnt mean they are working fine. If you can get your hands on a laser temp gun, point it at your radiator and both hoses and see what your actual temps are, there should be at least a 10* temp difference between the two hoses.
