305 Tpi

i have an 87 z28 tpi with flowmaster exaust no headers nd i have ram air nd K&N filtters i ran a 15.7 but i really think im mor capable of that at least a 15.5 if not better cause of the start i couldnt stop spinning................the first run i spun threw out first nd part of secnd nd ran a 17.2 then the second i spun just first gear nd ran a 16.7 then the third run i spun only half of first gear and ran a 15.7 and also my engin was running hot by that time so what do u guys think nd what have u guys with 305 tpi engines run? with like a pretty much stock setup like me

That car is quick. A stock 305 TPI should run high 15's. If U ice the intake down nice and good, run up to 5200rpms in 1st and 4800 in second u should be able to hit low 15's. Trust me ive seen ur car and it moves pretty good.

i just switched to a 180 thermostat stat to keep the engine a tad cooler and it seemed to respond very well...

i think u could do better...
but that last run wasn't bad...
good job... keep it up... i'm sure u can do better ::thumbs up::
i wish i was lucky enough to try and qt my car... i never had the practice against the clocks

i basically learned to do it from all my drag racing... most of it was spontaneous tho... so sometimes i don't get to shift the way i wanted to...
