Non-TPI heads on TPI?
Non-TPI heads on TPI?
One of my friends knows this guy getting rid of a set of Heads for a 350 for FREE. Supposedly, they are ported, have a bullet-proof top end and a couple other mods. Anyways, I believe theads are off of a Carburated car.
I am intsalling a 350 TPI in my car very soon & Im wondering if I should get these heads & put them on my engine, or would it not run properly becuase they were off a Carburated car?

well one prob that i see is that they would not have the correct angle on the 4 center bolts for the tpi intake

that can be easily fixxed with a dremel, you can re-angle the bolt holes.
then again, if you have pre 87 heads and a 85-86 tpi setup, then you will have no problem pairing them up, if you have a 87+ tpi setup and center bolt heads then the bolts will pair up just fine also.
the only time you would have a problem is if the heads are pre 87 and the tpi setup is 87+ or vice versa, then you will have to modify the for center holes.

Check the casting # and look it up at mortec.com..
See if the chamber size is correct.
Also check if it has accessory holes drilled on the front and back surfaces.
For FREE, I'd take them and sell them if I couldn't use them.
