I agree ....Have the harness repinned for a 7730 'puter and ditch the MAF.
You have to get a harness either way so you might as well get a MAP harness. Toss the MAF sensor and get a MAP sensor. The cold start valve can be left bolted to the engine but just don't plug in the cold start switch.
That's about it.

I'm slap-dab in the middle of a simular conversion. However, mine originally came with a 3.1 MPFI. My TPI setup(less harness) is from a '85(85-88 same). Serpentine Belt setup is from a '90 TBI Motor. My Speed Density Harness is from '92 (90-92 same). Here are some hints and things to be aware of. First, you will have to modify the round support bracket that attaches to the back of your A/C compressor and bolts to the top of your intake manifold. TPI intake requires a different backet that GM has discontinued. I cut, shortened(about an inch) & rewelded. You can reuse your distributor(87-92 same). However, your remote coil mounts differently. Make sure you get the coil, egr solenoid, and related brackets(some are discontinued). The cold start injector can be eliminated easily. I purchased a kit on ebay for about $25. You'll also have to replace the accelerator cable(85-88 same), and your TV cable(tranny detent). All smog equipment is the same for TBI and TPI. I agree with the others. Go with a Speed density setup. Cleaner setup and the 90-92 ecm is more compatable with your vehicle. I can't stress this enough, make sure you get EVERYTHING related to the '87 tpi setup. It can prove to be costly if you have to buy a forgotten item later. I hope this helps.
