Who makes a good fuel pump?

My fuel pump just died, at least while at home! I need a new one and I may as well put in a heavy duty unit. So, who makes a good one?

I looked at summit, they have a 255 lph for 125. TPIS sells one for 180. I just want one that will last a while and feed my engine with plenty of gas. I do not want an inline pump by the way. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a search? If not, try it, you may be surprised! lol Anyway, when i was looking around i came up with the Walbro 255lph unit. It can be bought for under $150 and i am almost positive it is the pump Holley sells, in-tank 255lph pump. Others may recommend other pumps, so we'll see what they say. Also, a place called racetronix sells a kit with all new wiring and plugs with it for like $160 i think. Try www.racetronix.com good luck

When I felt that I needed more fuel from the fuel pump, I purchased the factory TTA fuel pump that came with the turbo Firebird. I think it is a 255l/hr pump. I figured that since it was designed for a Firebird, it would have no problem being installed in my Camaro.

From what I have researched, Cotton's Performance sells a kit for 3rd gens with that pump. Anyway that is what GMHTP claims. Supposedly sells for around 140 as a kit. Thanks for all the replies.

Im running a Holley pump and cant complainat all about it. IIRC, the cyclone/typhoon fuel pump is the same style as ours but flows more. These pumps are halfthe priceof the Holley and Walbro pumps too.

get a walbro pump from the 5.0 section in summit it will cost you less than a hundred bucks and basically plugs right in. very easy to install.

Update

Thanks for the advice and the links.

I decided to go with the Holley pump. Bought it through Thunder Racing. What great service, I ordered yesterday afternoon and the pump arrived at my doorstep at 8:30 this morning!! BTW the Holley pump is a Walbro unit, just a little more expensive. I don't mind spending money with the companies that keep thirdgen alive!!
