BLM's
BLM's
Recently my car 87 5.7 TPI GTA passed emissions. I'm using Bosch
21.8 fuel injectors and running them at 43psi w/o vacuum, I was told the formula would make them perform as 24 pounders. Also my injector constant is set for 24# in case your wondering. When
my car was emisson tested my BLM was 142 and Int. was 132, which was running lean at idle 700 rpm.
Afterwards I increased my fuel pressure to 49psi w/o vacuum and reached my BLM target of 128 and Int. of 128 at 700 rpm. At 2000 rpm's my BLM drops to 104 (rich) and my car wants to die if I rev the engine and them allow it to idle.
I didn't have this problem with my engine wanting to die at idle before increasing the fuel pressure and I can smell fuel from it as it is running rich.
My question is did I do something wrong? I thought the target BLM should be 128, but is this number for idle or highway speeds? Also would the engine running richer cause it to want to die? I'm about to put the fuel pressure back to where I started from or maybe split the difference. What do you guys think?

I've been told since my car has a MAF there are no VE tables to adjust. But I've been told I need to adjust the "BPW vs. Load vs. RPM" table to hit my 128 target. I'm new to this but trying to learn.
Thanks,
