Cooling system question...
Does an 88 TPI have reverse cooling, and if so which way does the water pump need to rotate if i am facing the motor, and will the moroso electiric drive conversion kit work on this pump, or should i reverse the polarity of the electric motor?
Unless I am mistaken, reverse cooling didn't come out until the introduction of the LT-1 in '93.As far as the direction of the water pump, the easiest way to tell with a serp. belt setup is:
Grooved pullies turn the same direction as the engine (CW)
Smooth pullies turn the opposite direction of the engine(CCW)
I believe your water pump turns CCW.
As far as if the electric water pump will work with the polarity reversed,I am not sure, but electric water pumps are not recommended for street use because they do not flow enough volume for everyday driving.

The water pump should turn counter clockwise. Your car does not have a reverse cool cooling system. It has a reverse rotation water pump to work with the serpentine set-up. Not sure about the conversion kit. Good luck-Jeff
