well the first part if your answer is Always, what you have done already would appreciate a new prom setup, you definitely will gain driveablilty, and HP, gas milage, and general feel of the car, really look into doing you own chips, study your azz of in the DIY boards, and search function. You won't regret it one bit...

the second part of your question, as you will find out, is not a wise way of modifing your engines management, sence no ones car is just like yours, maybe close, but not exact.

Once you learn to see what your engine is asking about, and complaining about, you can tune it to new hights....

You will need a custom prom. You can not explain to someone what mods you have to your motor and have a chip burned that is optimal for your motor. You need to be able to log data while driving (in your car) to see what needs to be modified in the prom. After you get into prom tuning you'll fully understand what I say is true.

Thanks Wildside. However, logging data as I drive is not something I plan on getting into. If getting a chip burned by a company such as Fastchips or whoever will give me satisfactory performance, than that will have to do!

Hopefully someone can get you somewhere close. I can tell you that with the LT4 HOT cam you'll definitely need something done to the volumetric efficiency tables in your prom. Maybe someone on the prom burning board lives somewhere close to you to help you out.

A MAF 350 could run the hotcam on the stock chip and not be too bad off really. SD that would be about the edge though.

Good call, I didn't notice he was running an 88 setup. I'm running with speed density and had to make major mods to my prom. MAF is a little more forgiving.
