runner's or base first

What would give me a bigger power increase, the SLP runner's or the Accell base. Sorry if this is a question that has been asked a million times

Start with the runners. They are cheaper than the base, and can be worked on further when you decide to get the base.

I agree.. get the runners first. You wouldn't be able to do much with the base while using the stock runners. My friend and I measured the runner ports on the Edlebrock base when I first got it, and they match the stock runner size.

I would say the opposite of eveyone thus far, SLP runners with a stock base (unless fully ported or siamesed) will not give you near the performance increase you would get with an accel base with stock runners. The design of the stock base is what causes the system to drop horsepower after 4500 rpm, not the runners, an Accel base is capable of making more power across the entire rpm range and will usually peak after 4500 RPM. I hope that there are people that will back me with this statement!
Good luck!

Replace the base, it is the weakest link.

Just wait until you can afford both. Neither will have a large impact without the other, and if you're going to go through all that work to change the base, why not put the new runners on at the same time?

I find that the runner's are easy to change. It's the base that takes a little more time.
