67 rs/ss350 camaro with a 383 TPI ?
I am restoring a 67 camaro for show, street and light track use. I am building a 383 for it and recently ran across a good deal on a TPI. The TPI came with Edelbrock base and runners, Lingenfelter 58mm TB and Holley AFPR. Bosch fuel injectors from an 89-90 3.8 supercharged T-Bird or Cougar. I don`t know what the flow rate on them is though. Part # 280150756. Can anyone help me on that one?
Also, the intake base has been gasket matched on the head and runner side and the plenum has been matched to the 58mm TB. Other than those mods, the setup is unmolested. I want the motor to pull to at least 6000RPM. Is this possible or will I have to do further modifications? Here`s the run down on the motor:
383 steel crank
4 bolt .030 block
AFR 190 heads
10 to 1 forged flat top pistons
cam is undecided right now
I also have a brand new Holley 52mm TB.
Thanks in advance

From what I understand on a stock TPI setup it will only pull to 4500 rpm. I do understand that you have a edel base and a 58mm throttle body but I think that you would need to do extensive porting to the whole system for the 383 to actually make power to 6000 rpms. I have a LT1 intake on my GTA and it pulls hard past 6000 rpms. Again I only have experience with a stock tpi and LT1 intake system. So it may work better with the stuff you already have.

There are people on here with TPI set ups that pull well to 5500-6000. I can't say anything personally since I have never got around to installing my High-flo base and runners.

Thanks for your replies.
I`m not trying to sound insulting or anything, but I originally asked if it would be possible to get 6000 RPMs from MY SETUP or would I have to do any porting to try and obtain it. The purchase of the TPI has been made and I am not in the market for any other type of setup. If for some reason I do decide to switch to something else, then it will be with my Holley double pumper carb and intake and 282 solid cam. It pulled to 6500 rpm.
I understand the rpm drawbacks of the TPI. I`m not new to them. Although, I am new to aftermarket pieces like the Edelbrock base and runners. That`s why I was asking would it be possible like the setup is now or could I obtain my goal with some port work. Please try and answer my question and not try and sell me something I don`t want.
Once again, I am not here to insult anyone, so sorry if I have. That is not my goal. I would just like to get a straight answer and move. Life is either that way.
Thanks again guys and good luck on your cars

Edelbrock Base and runners eh?
Yes you will have to do some porting to get that kind of rpm and still be pulling. I also am currently building a 383, but will be using stock ported heads and Accel base and runners. The Accel parts are better than the Edelbrock, so I'm a small step ahead in that department. Obviously the AFR heads will flow enough, but the runners and base will require some modification. I will be porting some on my runners, intake, and plenum in hopes of pulling up to 6000rpm, but not past it. Do enough searches and you can find some dyno numbers for people that have siamezed their base and runners and compared them with AFR heads and L98 aluminum heads. "Madmax" I believe is the guy that did this first with some hard numbers. Another guy that I recall on here with a TPI 383 doing well is Mike Crews...https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...threadid=84340
His setup is working well.

Hope this helps...and good luck with the 67'
Edit: Another option is extrude honing...but that requires some $$...but something to consider.
