thinking about buying 87 transam

I was talking to this guy today, hes selling his car its an 87 transam 305 tpi, 74,000 miles t tops , this awesome like dodge viper blue color mint condition. He was asking 5k for it. You guys this its a good buy and worth it. Id have to sell my 92 rs after i buy it though.

I was thinking maybe trying to talk him down to 4,600 -4,800

4500 sounds like a better price. 5000 seems a little too high IMO.

i paid 5500 for my 91 Formula 350 in very good condition.

Personally I like Trans-AM's more than Camaros. So I would say go for it. Just try to get him down to around $4500.00 or less.

To be honest they are not that valuable. In fact KBB rates them as being only worth $3K tops. However I have never seen a mint one go for less than $4K.

yea the kelly blue book is retarted when it comes to older cars... like if u put in 87 trans am 5.7 with 150,000 miles itel be worth 3500 but when i change it too 70,000 miles the value only increases to 4000. How could a car with half the miles be worth only 500 more.
