Power loss... I don't think it's in my head.
I'm experiencing a problem. The car over the past couple weeks seems to not be as powerful as it was when I first got it running. (it's L98) Not that the car isn't fast, it just seems that it's lagging. For example, when I got the car running right, I would go at WOT and the car would pull and pull and pull... now, at WOT the car still accelerates strong, but not like it did. I checked my fuel pressure, it's good. I checked the timing, it's sitting at 7 or 8 degrees BTDC. I know the factory setting is 6, would this be causing that much of a problem?
All ignition parts, etc. are new. (plugs wires cap rotor etc.)
any insight would be appreciated.

You might try increasing your timing. I know my car was fond of 10 degrees. It once went much higher than that and didn't have a problem. But I backed it down to be on the safe side. That and it got crappy fuel economy.

I'll have to give that a shot. My timing light's on the fritz, so I'll have to wait. I heard another person tell me their TPI liked 10 degrees as well... coincidence? I think not.
